Some countries only use a limited number of laser speed detection devices. For this reason BLINDER laser jammer firmware upgrades are tailored to meet the requirements for specific countries in which they are sold.
To avoid cross compatibility issues the hardware is designed to only accept firmware upgrades from the country of sale. It is not advisable to purchase a BLINDER model from one country and try and use it in another country. Compatibility issues could leave you exposed to unwanted threats.
The reason that we use "country specific firmware" is to limit the need to have the in-built filtering in this CPU wide open to cater for all the LIDAR threats in the world. Wide open filtering could make your product prone to false alarms which is not what anyone wants. Correct filtering is an important issue that we take seriously.
If you are thinking of dodging taxes and importing a BLINDER laser jammer unit from another country, don't! It is a waste of time and money. You will not achieve excellent protection due to incorrect firmware and filtering issues. Buy the BLINDER laser jammer model designed for the country in which you drive!
 *****IMPORTANT UPDATE*****
Western Australian Drivers - Please set the CPU software to "Constant Jamming" for use against the New Vitronic PoliscanSpeed laser speed camera and use manual switch off when you have checked your speed.
The BLINDER transponders are very sensitive and can pick up the Poliscanspeed at long distances. The CPU settings of 7 seconds and 10 seconds under some circumstances may not give enough jamming time before you encounter the speed camera check zone. The CPU switches off the tranponders after this preset time peried.
Special Operations Note: After The BLINDER has encountering a laser speed camera or speed gun threat and alarmed, the CPU will take 60 seconds to reset. (short beep after 60seconds confirms the re-set) During this time the BLINDER CPU will not react to another threat. You can immediately re-arm the CPU by a quick reboot (switch off and then switch on again.)
